SARAH MOUSTAKIM
Born into a multicultural family, Sarah grew up in Morocco, then moved to Paris to study literature and cinema at the Sorbonne Nouvelle. After a master's degree in film heritage in Paris and New York, she worked in cultural diplomacy at the Institut français, promoting French and European cinema around the world.
Driven by the need to promote under-represented cinematographies, she was film programmer for the first two years of the Cinewax association's Online African Film Festival. In 2020, she co-produced the short film "Anges" by Jasmine Bissete, which was selected in over 20 international festivals.
She moved to Montreal in 2022, where she still lives, and joined the team of film distribution company h264 as international sales manager. In addition to this activity, in 2023 she created the Paris-based production company Kinglet Films, where she developed several projects, including the new film by director Jasmine Bissete.
