AMINA ABDOULAYE MAMANI
Amina ABDOULAYE MAMANI is a director/producer with Diam Production. She began her career in cinema at the Forum Africain du Film Documentaire in Niamey. Then, after 3 years studying audiovisual production at IFTIC in Niamey, with her graduation documentary "Le Hawan idi", she won the prize for best school documentary film at Fespaco 2013. In 2014, she completed a 12-month writing residency and director training at Cinédoc-films (Annecy/France), where she directed "Le silence des papiers", 26mn, selected at the Festival des Cinémas d'Afriques des Pays APT (France). In 2018, after a long period of research, she signed "Sur les traces de Mamani Abdoulaye", her first feature-length documentary. (1h3mn). This film has been selected and awarded in several festivals in Africa and Europe. In 2020, she took a production training course at CINEKAP in Dakar.
She has just signed her 1st short fiction film: "L'envoyée de Dieu" (God's Envoy). This short was in official competition at the 28th edition of Fespaco 2023 (Ouagadougou Pan-African Film Festival). The film won 4 special prizes and 2 special mentions. The film has been selected for several festivals in Africa and Europe.
